URGENT ASSISTANCE REQUIRED

A LITTLE HELP CAN SOMETIMES GO A LONG WAY.

On Wednesday the 14th of September 2022, a house at 26 Maybush Ave in Palmridge was set on fire. It happened around 10:00 am in the morning.

The Sheik family were shocked when they discovered that the house was on fire. They did everything in their power to escape from it. It was only when they were all safe and outside of the house, when they were able to stop the fire from spreading.

"My mother in-law was hospitalised due to smoke inhalation, which the doctors say triggered an old brain injury", Appa Fahmeedah Sheik.

They appa further explained that, a call was logged with the fire brigade. However, they managed to stop the fire before they came.

There is currently an electrical fault in the wiring and power surge due to the electricity coming back on. So assistance in this area would also be highly appreciated.

"Our family's home has been damaged by fire and we have lost most of our furniture, beds, bedding, clothing, groceries, cutlery and much more."

"There are 11 of us, 4 adults and 7 kids between the ages of 17 and 3 years. They had to split up for living arrangements while they try to clean and restore the house.

"The family further added on to say that: "We are appealing for assistance to replace our goods urgently."

"We are looking for any pre-loved goods that we can use. Any grocery items that we may be able to use and any assistance towards the painting or refurbishing of our home."

"We would just like assistance to replace what we lost. Not money but the goods and most importantly the groceries."
