Nkosazana V Ramaphosa

African National Congress (ANC) secretary general Gwede Mantashe has urged President Jacob Zuma to give up his endorsement of a woman to become the party's next president, and instead support her as ANC deputy president.

Now according to the law of South Africa, if the President of the county is in no position to rule the country, the deputy President has take over up until the next elections.

Speaking in Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape where he was presenting a memorial speech in honour of the late anti-apartheid stalwart and former ANC president OR Thambo, Mantashe said: "If a sitting deputy president cannot take over from the incumbent, the organization is owed an explanation."

The worry plenty of South Africans are face with is that when, we take a look at what is currently happening in South Africa with politicians fighting for positions, that rightfully isn't theirs, what does the law say about this.

Are they respecting the law...?

When Makhosi Khoza didn't show up for the meeting that was held by the ANC, the ANC went on without her and on the same day it was confirmed that they made Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma a Member of Parliament because she is in the running for elections to become the next president.

Mantashe further went on to say that: "There's a theory of a women president. That's Strange. We want a President of the ANC, male or female."

Nkosazana shouldn't even be campaigning for the post in the first place, because the law itself says-(the deputy president should take over from the president). She being a truthful and trustworthy politician should have known this.

Why was Cyril Ramaphosa elected as the deputy president and not Nkosazana. Why did the President not just make Nkosazana the deputy in the first place? Just think about it...The ANC would not have been in this mess in the first place if they played their cards right. This is very unfair on Cyril Ramaphosa... Even when former President Thabo Mbeki stepped down, Kgalima Motlanthe took over from him. That was very fair because they respected the law.

Nevertheless, that was then. If we look at things now, the law was implemented for the ordinary people to respect and now for the current leaders because they don't respect the law. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma is a true example of this. She doesn't know the law and to add more she is a member of parliament.
